Tickets

How do I buy tickets?

Kaboom tickets, both for our online and for our offline program, you can either buy online or you can buy them at a box office at our locations, if you just show up without tickets, our team is ready to help you buy them online or at the box office!

Where are the box offices at the festival?

You can find our box offices at de Slachtstraat Filmtheatre, Bibliotheek Neude en Eye Filmmuseum.

What kind of tickets can I buy?

Check this page and you have a great overview of all the possibilities.

How does a Mad Animation Lover Pass work?

You just buy the pass once and after buying this pass you can reserve any regular filmscreening, VR experience or workshop, don’t forget to reserve your spots! If you change your mind it’s always possible to cancel your seat reservation. P.s. Don’t forget that’s a personal pass so you can only buy one and you are not able to share it with someone else. The pass does not grant access to the Kaboom Industry days, Cine-Concert: Poo Poo Pee Doo (you get a 10 euro discount!), and Tattoo by Veronica Martiradonna.

Which discounts do you offer?

If you want to visit the festival with a group, you can buy our 5-bumpy rides that give access to 5 tickets for the price of 4. This isn’t a personal card, so you can also use it to go to four screenings with your bestie, or to one screening with your korfball team.

Do I get e-tickets or printed tickets?

You will receive e-tickets via e-mail as a PDF to print or scan from your phone at the cinema. You can find them when you log in to your account on our website.

No, there isn’t. You can watch it as much as you’d like between April 5th and 14th.

Is the content of Kaboom Animation Festival 2024 available outside of The Netherlands?

Forgive us Father for we have no other option: the public content is only available for IP addresses registered in the Netherlands. Professional guests who have an Industry Accreditation, do have access to the online collection from outside the Netherlands.

Is the online program the same as the offline program?

Online you can only watch all Shorts in Competition and the two Kids programs.

How often can I (re)watch the film(s)?

Don’t you worry, we are taking good care of our fans. During the festival, all films can be viewed without any restriction!

Will there be (any) subtitles?

You don’t need to have a Ph.D. in English, but the majority of our content will be in English, without subtitles. Films in a foreign language other than English will be subtitled in English.

Can an online screening be sold out?

Unless our fans crash the internet (which is of course possibility), an online screening cannot be sold out. All content during the festival is available on demand.

I am unable to attend (any more). Can I get a refund?

Ouch, we’re sorry, but this is not possible. We do apologize! Please do make another human being happy with your ticket

On which devices can I watch?

As long as it has a screen and a stable internet connection, you should be fine. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge are the most reliable browsers to stream films.

The quality of the content looks low res, what’s wrong?

Yes, and it’s normal if the first few secs are lowered. If your connection is good enough, the player will then switch to HD. We offer content in 360p, 720p, 1080p, 2K and sometimes 4K.
