There’s currently no tickets available. The prices below are from last year’s edition in November 2019 and might be subject to change.

Single Tickets

A ticket for a screening of your choosing in Amsterdam or Utrecht. No cash, only pin. 

€10,00 regular || €8,50 discount || €6,50 kids

Discounts
Students
get a discount and can book a discounted ticket through our website. Please make sure to bring your student pass to the screening, as we will check it at the door.

Cineville is valid for all screenings at Het Ketelhuis. Reserving a discounted ticket is not possible this year, but tickets can be picked up at the front desk 90 minutes before the screening starts until 1 minute before the screening.

CJP is valid for all screenings in Amsterdam. You can book your CJP-ticket through our website, make sure to bring you pass to the screening as we will check it at the door.

Subbacultcha is valid for a selection of screenings in Amsterdam. Check their website to see which ones and book your tickets.

Virtual Reality

Virtual Reality tickets are not available online, but can be bought at Westergas.

€2,50 per project (available at Machinegebouw, Westergas)

Multi Pass

For our visitors that dig a quantity discount, this pass gives access to five screenings in Amsterdam or Utrecht for the price of four.

€40,00 (available at Meterhuisje, Westergas)

Festival Accreditation

Indulge with an accreditation that provides unlimited access to all our screenings, workshops and talks at Kaboom in Amsterdam.

€75,00 regular || €70,00 students (available at Meterhuisje, Westergas)

Industry Accreditation

Whether you’re attending Kaboom for business or pleasure, our Industry Accreditation provides access to all screenings, workshops and talks in Amsterdam and Utrecht as well as our Industry Day programming.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I buy tickets?

The most important part about Kaboom is actually coming to the screenings. All you need are the right tickets. How do I get tickets, you ask? Find a step-by-step guide below.

1) Do you have an acccreditation or discount pass? Please make sure you’re logged into our ticketing system, to have all the right ticketing options and discounts are available to you. You can login here: kaboomfestival.filmchief.com/cart.

2)  Check our amazing program at kaboomfestival.nl/program and decide which program you want to visit.

3) Check which date and time you want go and click BUY TICKETS.

4) Select the amount of tickets and click ADD TO CART

4a) Either CONTINUE BROWSING to keep shopping for more, in which case go back to step 2.
4b) Or GO TO CART to check out. Your cart will always be available in the upper right corner of your screen.

5) Check if all the films you want to attend are in your shopping cart. You can change the amount of tickets in this step if you’d like or remove items from your cart. Who would possibly want that though?

6) Add any additional promotional codes or tokens you might have.

7) Proceed to pay. You can pay with Ideal, Paypal, Creditcard or MisterCash.

8) Once you’ve completed the payment, you’ll receive your tickets in your inbox. You might also want to check your spam folder.

What's the difference between Kaboom and Kaboom Kids?

Kaboom Kids is the part of Kaboom Animation Festival that exclusively offers films, workshops, expeditions and interactive installations for families and kids. The kids programming will take place in Utrecht. Kaboom Festival on the other hand takes place in Amsterdam. Here we’ll present the best animated shorts and feature films, VR experiences, inspiring talks by animation talent and an extensive industry programing.

For which ages is Kaboom?

At Kaboom we welcome everyone from age 3 to 300. Our Kaboom Kids program will clearly state the appropriate age group per program.

Can I bring my baby to Kaboom?

You can bring your baby to the festivities, but our screenings are generally too noisy and confusing for humans under the age of three.

Can I bring my pet to Kaboom?

You can bring your monkey to the festivities, but our screenings are generally too noisy and confusing for little pet ears.

How do I get to the locations?

You can find the address of the festival locations above. Click on the desired location or select the pin on the map of where you want to go. The magic elves at google will help you find your way.

Is your festival accessible to people with limited mobility?

Yes! Most of our venues are wheelchair accessible, except for:

What happens with the photos that are taken during the festival?

Photographs taken by our professionals will be used for promotional purposes for Kaboom Animation Festival only.

Is there a discount for large groups?

Do I get e-tickets or ``real`` tickets?

If you order your tickets online, you get an e-ticket sent to your mail. You can also buy your tickets at the ticket desk at the venue during the event.

I didn't receive a confirmation email/tickets/etc.

That’s annoying! Did you check your spam inbox? Did you check if you entered the right mail address? Did you try turning it off and on again? Have you slept on it? Only, and really only if you are 100% sure that you have tried EVERYTHING, you should get in touch with us. Please include the name on your order and purchase date in the email.

How can I get my money back if I can't go?

We do not offer refunds or reimbursements.

Can I swap my ticket for a different film?

No, you can’t. How about watching both though?

Which discounts do you offer?

Student Discount is valid for all screenings.

Cineville is valid for all screenings at Het Ketelhuis. You cannot book your tickets online, you’re welcome to get your tickets 90 minutes before the screening until 1 minute before the screening.
Cineville is not valid at all other locations.

CJP is valid for all screenings in Amsterdam. You can book your CJP-ticket through our website, make sure to bring you pass to the screening as we will check it at the door.

Subbacultcha is valid for a selection of screenings in Amsterdam. Check their website to see which ones and book your tickets.

I'm eligible for discount, but bought a regular priced ticket.

When purchasing a ticket, please make sure to check all available discounts (see above). You snooze you lose, my friend.

Can I get a passe-partout or a discount if I go to a lot of movies?

I've made an animation film, can I submit it to the festival?

Call for Entries for the 2020 edition starts in March.
