Accessibility

General accessibility information

At Kaboom Animation Festival, we want everyone to feel welcome. Diversity, inclusiveness and accessibility are at the heart of how we shape the festival, and we do our best to create a safe and comfortable space for everyone who joins us. We see the festival as a co-created space. Whether you’re an organiser, guest, or visitor, we all play an active role in making Kaboom an enjoyable experience. If you have access needs, questions or ideas on how we can support you, please feel free to reach out at , we’re happy to help.

SAFE SPACE

Kaboom has a zero-tolerance policy towards any kind of discriminating or threatening behaviour. Demeaning, discriminatory or harassing behaviour or speech will not be tolerated. Please check out the Code of conduct.

SUBTITLED SCREENINGS

Kaboom is an international festival and our standard language is English. The majority of our content will be in English, without subtitles. Films in a foreign language other than English will be subtitled in English. Please note: our kids programs on both Sunday mornings either have Dutch spoken language or a Dutch live dub, so children can understand what’s going on.

QUIET ROOM

Festivals can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming at times. If you need a moment to recharge or are looking for a calmer environment, quieter spaces are available during the festival, including Level 6 in the Arena (Eye Filmmuseum location, Amsterdam). Our team will be happy to assist you.
