This year’s theme, Human Touch, is an ode to the unpolished, the tactile, and the beautifully inefficient marks we leave during the creative process. We want to see the physical signs of life on the puppets and the
happy accidents in the code. We are equally curious about the new possibilities lying within ethical AI and about how one might code a fingerprint. Perhaps we are already cyborgs - but we are the kind
of machines that still get emotional over a stop-motion piglet or a particularly beautiful bit of generative math. We remain fascinated by the fact that by moving a lump of clay, you can give a toaster a personality.
