I didn’t receive a confirmation email/tickets/etc.

Can I swap my ticket for a different film?

No, you can’t. If you made a mistake, you should probably just go see both films.

Films

Where can I access the online festival?

Please find the online Hub here! I will be available on March 13th from 12:00 to March 22nd until 23:59 (CET time zone, only available in the Netherlands).

How often can I (re)watch the film(s) online?

Don’t you worry, we are taking good care of our fans. During the festival (March 13th– 12:00 to March 22nd – 23:59 CET time zone), all online films can be viewed from your sofa (only available in the Netherlands).

Is the online program the same as the offline program?

No. The online program contains the short films in competition, but not the features, the theme program or any other programming. Please note that certain films might be excluded from online viewing.

Is the online content of Kaboom Animation Festival 2026 available outside of The Netherlands?

Forgive us Father, we have no other option: the public content is only available in the Netherlands.

Note: Professional guests who have an Industry Accreditation, do have access to the online collection from outside the Netherlands.

Can an online screening be sold out?

Unless our fans crash the internet (which is of course a possibility), an online screening cannot be sold out. All content during the festival is available on demand.

On which devices can I watch?

As long as it has a screen and a stable internet connection, you should be fine. Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Microsoft Edge are the most reliable browsers to stream films.

The quality of the content looks low res, what’s wrong?

Yes, and it’s normal if the first few secs are lowered. If your connection is good enough, the player will then switch to HD. We offer content in 360p, 720p, 1080p and sometimes 4K.

Will there be (any) subtitles?

Kaboom is an international festival and our standard language is English. You don’t need to have a Ph.D. in English, but the majority of our content will be in English, without subtitles. Films in a foreign language other than English will be subtitled in English. Please note: our kids programs on both Sunday mornings either have Dutch spoken language or a Dutch live dub, so children can understand what’s going on.
