Cinema Petit boasts a charming selection of cute and educative shorts from all over the world. Your little ones will get to know a Godzilla with a good heart, a sporty T-Rex, a dumbo-octupus, a family of moon guardians, two bear cubs, a crying water tower, and many more characters which all have the power to evoke the wonders of the seventh art. (Programme curated for the littlest ones of ages 3 and up.)
This programme will be livedubbed in Dutch in the theatre.

Hi!
Going to school and meeting new people is not easy for children. It could be very difficult for them to leave their parents and get into public life. This experience could be more difficult for ADDer children who have struggled with making friends. Sometimes they need a supportive family or/and friend who helps them to leave their comfort zone and try new things.
(Hi!) is the story of a little ADDer child who is encouraged to go to school by school bus by her mom.
Her mother, who is aware of her issue, tries to persuade the protagonist to take the school bus and try new activities. Her mother bids her farewell and writes something on her hand before she sets off on her quest. At the beginning of her voyage, the young youngster cannot analyze so much new information. By creating a paper doll of her mother, she tries to return to her familiar surroundings.
Then a group of kids get in and start playing. She likes to join them but it is difficult for her. When the kids start playing with a paper airplane, the main character accidentally gets it stuck to his backpack. She becomes frightened of them and begins to flee as they get closer to pick up their toy.
Because she is unable to distinguish between individuals within a large group of people and because everything in her mind is exaggerated, she views them as a kind of monster. Forms, sound, and images.
Finally, the character hides under a chair and tries to hide behind the paper doll of her mom but The kid covers her eyes with her hand and tries to stop them to not come closer when they want to get their toy. At this moment we see the note on her hand, something that her mom wrote at the beginning of the movie. Hi!
The children say Hi! And the character repeats what they said and the connection starts.
We hope this animation will help children, especially ADDers have a better experience on the first day of school.
Hush Hush Little Bear
While the bear parents are away looking for berries and honey, the baby bears stay at home with
the sheep. The bear cubs have a good time playing merrily with a ball of yarn, but soon enough
the cubs find themselves all tangled up and everything is turned upside down! Luckily the sheep
help them put everything in order again. The film is based on the traditional Latvian lullaby “Hush
Hush Little Bear” (‘Aijā, žūžū, lāča bērni’)
Jules & Juliette
It's a beautiful summer day, Jules & Juliette are going to the beach.
They are carrying on their heads the dinghy with which they intend to sail.
It's already quite a deal! Of course, Jules is clumsy and doesn't fail to play the fool.
The beach is deserted. It's a bright day for the two friends, full of laughter and connivance.
Marea
A special family of moon guardians is living on a tiny island and dealing with the ups and downs of their everyday life and of the tide.
The film depicts the delicate balance between the characters and the environment in which they live.
Momo
An 'IQIYI-original'- tv series. We follow the adventures of the young dumbo-octopus 'Momo', who lives in the Aquariumparc with all her fishy friends.
In this episode, the lunchlady is late, will there be no lunch today? 'Snap' the always hungry piranha is worried. 'Momo' and her friend 'Speedo' the turtle think of a way to find food themselves.
T-Rex
Sadly, the T-Rex is very bad at playing basketball.
Theo the Water Tower
Every morning, Theo the water tower cries and disturbs the village's peace. Robert and his dog try to cheer him up by singing songs. But Theo is in no mood to sing and tries to escape, which leads him out of the village and into the city.
