The international competition for short student films is open for student films all over the world with a maximum length of 60 minutes. Graduation films as well as films from other years’ courses can be submitted. A Grand Prize will be appointed to the best student film. For this first international edition of the competition for student films, 65 films have been selected.
„Apariciones“ is an investigation regarding the question, what appearances are and how one might make these unseizable subjects and their transcendental world cinematically visible or perceptible.
Apariciones is collage-like shortfilm, an associative definition, a visual thought-process, a physic of illusions.

Krikelkrakel is an experimental , abstract work and shows an expressive compression of lines which induces a mesmerizing experience by overlays and mirrorings, acting both spatially and temporally . The film is silent so the effect of the image is enhanced. It is a digital, stereoscopic , 3D animation , and while it challenges visual perception , it is - due to the combination of traditional and contemporary techniques - as such also innovative in the sense of exploring new areas in animation in the field of digital drawing.
