Elapse was born from an idea or rather a theory that scientists are predicting, that is in the near

future, 20 years from now, New York city will sink under the water because of rising sea level.

Although it was just a theory the possibility of it was much higher considering the recent natural

disasters. This was turned into an idea that when humans from the near future visited earth,

what would they find? What are the memories that were left behind under the ocean? A short

film made from imagination showcasing the city of London under the ocean visited by humanity

from the near future.

More Than a Game

This short 3 minute film follows a moment in time of Jeff, a single parent to his grumpy

teenage son Larry. Made in the art of stop motion we see the struggle to raise a teenager

alone, but with a twist. Jeff's son is portrayed as a cat. Larry is the typical teenager/cat in

that he spends all day sleeping, he only comes out of his bedroom for food and doesn't

really want to hear anything his father has to say. We enter the story in one such moment

where Jeff has managed to coax Larry out of his room with the promise of cake. As Larry

passes his father, Jeff sees he is being ignored. In an attempt to keep his son downstairs

and spending some time with him he tricks Larry into playing a game of checkers with him.

Larry, being the competitive cat that he is falls for the trick and a quick game ensues. Finally

Jeff wins the game and Larry stomps upstairs in a grump. A few moments later Larry is

standing in the kitchen holding a pack of dominoes asking his father for a rematch. To Jeffs

surprise, his cat son is no longer standing there but instead his true son has emerged,

having broken out of his teenage grumpy cat ways and back into the son Jeff always had.
