Documentary about the trail-blazing animation films with which Dutch animation pioneer Joop Geesink conquered the world. Interviews with former associates and countless film fragments shed light on the innovative entrepreneurship of Joop Geesink (1913-1984), who during the 1940s-1970s ran the Geesink Studio, a professional film studio specialising in puppet animations. Under the name Dollywood, they produced hundreds of puppet films. The studio had an impressive international clientele (including Philips, Mackeson, Ballantine, Campari, Coca-Cola, Heineken, Knorr) and won over eighty international awards, including a few Lion Awards at Cannes. The puppet films show a safe world, with impeccable backgrounds, engaging and cheerful puppets and witty stories.
