We reserve a special place in our hearts for old TV shows starring puppets: Dutch people have a soft spot for De Fabeltjeskrant, the Swiss cherish Pingu, and Germans are fond of Unser Sandmännchen. Each European country has its own funny, lovable characters who became national treasures. In collaboration with members of the EU National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC), we’ll be showing episodes of such magical shows from various European countries.
With an introduction on the famous Geesink puppet studios by Louise Geesink.
Includes films from the EYE archives.
