Extraordinary Tales

Anthology of five short macabre stories of gothic writer and poet Edgar Allen Poe. The frame story shows death as a statue of a woman in a graveyard, chatting teasingly with black raven Poe on his daily tortured journey, looking for solitude. The five stories, with a wide range of animation styles, are told by illustrious narrators like Christopher Lee (one of his last roles), Bela Lugosi (an old radio recording), Mexican cult hero Guillermo del Toro and the king of the B film Roger Corman. About obsession and unrequited love, murder, madness and guilt. The stories are The Fall of the House of Usher, The Tell-Tale Heart, The Facts in the Case of Mr. Valdemar, The Mask of the Red Death and The Pit and the Pendulum.
