Flee is the engrossing and unflinching story of Afghan refugee Amin, who fled his country in the 80s to live as an openly gay man. It's also the true story of director Jonas Poher Rasmussen's close friend. This animated documentary pieces together a tragic story by combining archival footage with animations of interviews with Amin (whose real identity is being kept confidential).
