In October 2015, Peter Dougherty passed away, a man who distinctly defined MTV in its early years, giving him a key role in the development of independent animation filmmakers such as Run Wrake and Paul de Nooijer. He also introduced hiphop on MTV. For many years, he presented talkshows and introductions at HAFF.
