Engrossing cartoon, in the rich French animation tradition. St. Petersburg, 1882. Sasha is an aristocratic girl and an avid admirer of her grandfather. He is an explorer who failed to return from an expedition to the North Pole. When she discovers his itinerary, she runs away from home to go find him. She joins the crew of an expedition vessel and sails to the Arctic regions with them.
Compelling and adventurous story in which Sasha has to muster all her courage and willpower to reach her goal. En route, she learns to earn her way as a restaurant waitress and to adapt herself to the ‘common’ people as an aristocrat. But in the end she manages to win over everybody on her own voyage of discovery, using her charms and big heart.
