Masterclass Shaun the Sheep
Shaun the Sheep, known from the TV series by the famed English Aardman Studio (a spin-off of Wallace & Gromit, arguably the most popular animated characters in stop motion ever), now has its own feature. Mark Burton and Richard Starzak, screenwriters and directors of Shaun the Sheep Movie, divulge their treasure trove of experiences in a masterclass to a live audience.
Shaun the Sheep made his debut in the Oscar-winning Wallace & Gromit movie ‘A Close Shave’ (1995). His character was so popular that he was given his own TV series in 2007. Since it was broadcast in over 180 countries, the intelligent and rebellious little sheep gathered millions of fans, so it was a matter of time before a feature film was made.
The movie puts Shaun and his flock in a new environment. This time, their mischief causes the farmer to be removed from the farm. In a joint effort, the sheep have to brave the big city to save him. What ensues is an epic adventure in the successful Aardman tradition, with original plotlines and intelligent jokes at lightning speed. A comedy for both young and old.
