A pioneer among streaming websites, openArt has established itself as the leading showcase for independent filmmakers on the internet. With over 1,000 films, it is now the largest site of its kind in Japan and is widely known internationally. openArt officially participates in more than 20 international film festivals every year and organizes its own events. Also, they act as media representative, promoting films and directors on the international short fiom market as well as distributing short films via various media. openArt lives up to the cross-border nature of its project by offering production opportunities to Japanese and overseas filmmakers both in Japan and abroad.
