Kim de Ruyter is a young animator and illustrator whose visual work deals with subjects such as self-image and intimacy. From her position as a trans woman, Kim tries to hold up a mirror to the viewer in her often penetrating and confrontational creations by translating her own experiences into visual language.
Theodoor Steen (he/she/they) is a non-binary, queer and autistic film journalist and film programmer. They write for Cine.nl, Schokkend Nieuws Filmmagazine, ScreenAnarchy and more. As a film programmer, they are involved in Camera Japan and previously in the horror festival BUT.
Dexter Boldewijn is a 23-year-old visual artist. He makes dynamic and experimental work that focuses on imagination, recognisability, and raw emotion. As a trans person of colour, he favours edgy, underground work for the underdogs.
Mackenzie Fincham is an American-Dutch animation director and illustrator based in Utrecht. Her graduation short Waan(Beeld) won the Jeroen Bosch Ziekenhuis Award and the Playgrounds Best Student 2021 Award. Mackenzie sees a lot of potential in the horror genre and the nuance it can bring to topics like self-exploration and mental health.
