Smash that sh*t! Come and see why this 22 year old game is still drawing in crowds and competitors by the thousands from all over the world!

In 2001, Nintendo released Super Smash Bros. Melee and it rapidly became the best selling game on their Gamecube console. More than twenty years later, the game is considered one of the best of all time, while still inspiring people to pick up a controller and fight battles all over the world in tournaments to see who is the perfect pixelated powerhouse. The Melee Tournament scene is a thriving and vital video game scene in today's game industry and we at Kaboom are very lucky to host some of the most outstanding members to organize a Super Smash Bros. Melee Freeplay event at our festival. Both novice and experienced players are more than welcome. 

Want to chill out and play with items? Or would you rather play with the ruleset you’d find at a real melee tournament? How about just getting comfortable with the controls of the game? Well, with access to casual, competitive and single player set-ups, there will be no shortage of exciting games to be played for all types of players! And if you’re hungry for some real competition, we’ve got you covered with exciting side events planned throughout the day. You’ll get a chance to swing for the fences in a home run contest, see how you stack up against top ranked players in the country in 1v1 matches using the competitive ruleset, and watch an exciting exhibition between two top competitors to really get a taste of how far these players push the limits of the game!
