The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut

The Thief and the Cobbler: Recobbled Cut is as close as you’ll get to seeing the greatest film animator Richard Williams (Who Framed Roger Rabbit?) was never able to finish (a tragic story told in the documentary Persistence of Vision).

This fan-cut version by Garrett Gilchrist gives you the best glimpse of what Richard Williams intended his film The Thief and the Cobbler to be. Following Williams original ideas’ as closely as possible, Gilchrist used fully-finished parts but also storyboards and tests, even adding additional music and sound effects in order to present a more complete film.
