Live-action zombie movie, sequel van Seoul Station. A mysterious viral outbreak pushes Korea into a state of emergency. As an unidentified virus sweeps the country, Korean government declares martial law. Those on an express train to Busan, a city that has successfully fended off the viral outbreak, must fight for their own survival. It’s 453 km from Seoul to Busan. Imagine the struggle to survive by those who have others to protect. Meet Seok-woo, a fund manager whose work is more important than family. He took his young daughter on the train to Busan to his ex-wife as a birthday present for his daughter. Meet Young-guk, high-school baseball team’s power hitter who gets separated from his teammates and has to fend for himself. Or the cold and selfish corporate executive, Yong-suk, who is willing to sacrifice others for his own life. And the pregnant Sung-kyung, who remains composed and takes control to instinctively help those in need.
