AKV|St.Joost Breda has had an Animation bachelor since 2000. In September 2010, this was extended with an Animation master. Masters explore the area of art and design, where animation occupies an ever more dominant role, and look for the boundaries of this discipline. Five students from the Animation master use inspiring examples to give their personal views on new developments in the field.In recent years, several graduation films from the bachelor training clinched awards at festivals home and abroad. At HAFF, for example, Maarten de With and Niek Castricum secured First Prize in the 2004 student competition for 529, Linde Faas ditto for Volgens de vogels (2008), and Evelien Lohbeck won the HAFFTube web competition in 2008 with Noteboek. HAFF presents and elucidates a selection of graduation films.

The Order Electrus
Nature adapts, even to human actions that seem to destroy everything. The amazing power of evolution has given birth to a new species of insect. Their ideal habitats are old industrial locations. Some call them electrical insects, others simply speak of a miraculous phenomenon, or even better, a self supporting order; the Order Electrus.

About loss, loneliness and survival. A widower has to manage by himself. Without his wife, everything seems out of place.
