The national children’s jury of the festival is called MovieSquad HAFF Junior. Prior to the festival, children from eight to twelve years old could go to a movie theatre near their school for free to watch a short animation film programme and cast a vote for their favourite. The school received special teaching tools to prepare for the films and the children could apply for a seat on the three-headed ‘professional jury’. The film gathering the most votes from all classes and the professional jury’s favourite are included in the national project Klassefilm of the Netherlands Institute for Film Education. This programme is also screened at the festival. The winner will be revealed at the screening on Sunday.
