Competition Student Films 1

The competition for student films from the Netherlands and Belgium boasted 77 entries, 49 of which were selected. The winner of the student competition gains a € 13,500 scholarship, put up by the Netherlands Film Fund, to further develop his or her skills as a filmmaker. Winners from previous editions used the scholarship to, for example, follow training at the prestigious Royal College of Art in England, do a six-month apprenticeship at a studio in New York or invite a renowned animation filmmaker for a temporary made-to-measure coaching. The jury of the competition for student films consists of Michelle Ardone (director BA Animation Workshop, Denmark), Michiel Snijders (producer, Netherlands), Anna Solanas (filmmaker, Spain).
