Daily Masters: Job, Joris & Marieke

Job, Joris & Marieke is a Utrecht-based studio for illustration, animation, character design and music. Their work is populated by bungling characters who usually get entangled in awkward situations. The work of their studio has a distinct, idiosyncratic style featuring a bright, fresh colour scheme and a splendid timing, and manages to achieve great effect with little means. At the 2014 HAFF, they won the Grand Prix for Dutch Animation as well as the Audience Award for their short film Mute. This film was also nominated by the youth jury for the MovieZone HAFF Award. A Single Life was granted an Academy Award nomination in 2015 and won the Audience Award at the 2015 HAFF. (Otto) won the Audience Award HAFF Junior 2016. Job, Joris & Marieke are currently working on a feature film, of which they present a work in progress at the festival.
