Fibres of Feeling

70 minutes

A collection of warm, soft, and magical short love letters to the act of hand-making.

Fibres of Feeling

When machines can imitate the craft of animation, what remains? That is the central question we explore at Kaboom Animation Festival 2026. Will craft evolve? Disappear? Will animators absorb this existential threat, or become curators of AI-generated images? Maybe they’ll simply persist — like the spiders who inspired this year’s poster, handcrafted by Bea Lema.

In Human Touch, you’ll follow a thread of animations shaped by hands, hearts, and human imagination. Expect colorful woven frames and knitted landscapes that highlight our deep connection to natural materials. A warm, soft, and magical collection of short love letters to the act of hand-making.

Let’s get crafty! Join us on Sunday,15 March at 17:30 for a handcraft-friendly screening. The lights will be only partially dimmed so you can work comfortably - just bring your wool and needles and enjoy the show!
