It was ten years ago that the Dutch Film Fund decided to create a number of evaluation categories for each genre or form of film art. Animation was one of those categories, and Holland Animation Film Festival has invited the Dutch Film Fund to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its creation. This was the beginning of a policy specifically focused on animation.
During the festival, we’ll be showing a selection of films financed by the Fund, with drinks afterwards. We’ll also be offering a free DVD with a selection out of ten years of animation made with the support of the Fund. Together with advisors and exadvisors from the Fund’s animation commission, we’ve created this selection with an eye to showcasing the diversity of the films and filmmakers that typifies the Animation category. The DVD is our gift to all fans of Dutch animation.
