

Tokyo University of Arts and Tama Arts University in Japan are internationally renowned as high-quality animation schools offering a specific curriculum. Animation teachers Koji Yamamura and Tatsutoshi Noruma and students from these academies present their films and outstanding projects by former students. Supported by the Japan Foundation.



Yoshiro Ishihara (1915–1977), who burst upon the scene of Japanese modern poetry in the mid-1950s, is now remembered as a “poet of silence.”
He said “A poem is an impulse to resist writing.”
This film is an attempt to seek out the landscape from his poem.

This is a story of an adolescent boy living in a burning house with his parents. He can't drink black coffee yet he refuses his mother's offer of sugar lump. Rejecting his mother’s kindness and ignoring his father's concern, he struggles with his own internal conflicts and continues to perform the minor rebellions of youth.
