Mariusz Wilczynski: Kill It and Leave This Town

The Polish visual artist/filmmaker Mariusz Wilczynski is active as an illustrator/cartoonist, filmmaker, performer, TV host and an animation teacher at Lodz Academy. He has non-commissioned and commissioned work and countless music videos to his credit. His work is experimental and unconventional, with quite an idiosyncratic, recognisable, associative way of telling stories, as in Kizi Mizi (2007), the tough love story between a cat and a mouse. Wilczynski presents a work in progress of his latest (feature) film: Kill It and Leave Town, an autobiographical animated film (several years in the making), in which childhood images and memories bring back deceased parents and the family landscape.
