Room and a Half

Portrait of the originally Russian poet and Nobel Prize winner Joseph Brodsky, who after several deportations to Siberia was exiled and left for the USA in 1972. In a combination of fiction, archive footage and animation, he takes a ship back to Russia and looks back on the 1950s and 1960s in St. Petersburg, with his warm and caring family life, his growing political interest and the lively, alcohol-drenched discussions with his circle of friends. First long film by short animation and documentary veteran Khrjanovski.
