How does one grow up between an absent Iraqi father and a pervasive Jewish mother? Tossed around by the great upheavals of the modern times, Tim tries as hard as he can to find his place in the world.

With
its rich metaphorical language, animation can visualize that which is
invisible to the human eye. When there’s no footage of an actual event
or only memories, turning to animation opens a door for the expression
of a story. The films in this program tell real life stories, using
materials with a direct relation to a historical reality, like the audio
recording of an interview.

A short experimental/documental animation made using a recorded conversation between a mother, Joana, and her 3 years old daughter, Alice, who is recovering from kidney cancer. They both talk – in a very open and frank way – about the illness, their present circumstances, struggles and conquers.

A young art student from Switzerland arrives for six months in Tel Aviv.
Through drawing he will learn to analyse, understand and free himself to this contrasted environnement.
