Over the course of his impressive 20-year career in Hollywood animation, Piet Kroon has directed the film Osmosis Jones, written and developed a range of projects — including Fraidy Cat for Walt Disney Feature Animation — and worked as a story artist on box-office hits like Despicable Me, Iron Giant and Rio 1 and 2.

Over the course of this program, the internationally acclaimed writer and director will give you an inside look at the feature-animation story process. Sharing sequences from Shrek 2, Kroon will talk about how ideas are formed and developed and how they find their final form in what is often a process of trial and error, yet one that gives rise to the most fantastic stories.
