From her 1987 debut Girls Night Out to her hit Affairs of the Art, her work has remained a bold celebration of the female body and a sharp exploration of gender politics, often centred around her iconic, working-class heroine, Beryl.

In the masterclass, Joanna will share practical insight into her life as a leading woman in the industry, discussing the obsession and the patience required to reach the pinnacle of the craft. Attendees will go behind the scenes through a showcase of original artwork and clips, culminating in a live animation demonstration on stage.
