Upcoming Edition: 13 – 22 March 2026 Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Online.

KABOOM INDUSTRY DAYS

Kaboom Industry Days is a platform for networking, inspiration, and knowledge exchange within the Dutch and international animation industry. Its goal is to integrate and professionalize creatives working in animation, illustration, immersive media, and beyond. In 2026, the Kaboom Industry Days will take place on 17 and 18 March at the HKU in Utrecht, location Oudenoord.

The first day of the program, Kaboom Camp, celebrates the animation community and offers a practical introduction to the industry for newcomers. It highlights young talents and new voices, connecting them with exciting opportunities, mentors, and funders. Come meet your peers: students, freelance animators, studios, and more! Don’t miss our annual program for recent Dutch graduates, the Best Showreel Contest and the Debutants Ball. The call for entries for the showreels opens in November 2025.

On the second day, Kaboom PRO, the industry gathers to share successes, address challenges, and explore future paths through presentations, in-depth talks, closed expert sessions, and one-on-ones. Since 2023 Kaboom is proud to host the Animatie sectoroverleg, the annual meeting of the key decision makers in the animation field in the Netherlands, with a goal to help Dutch animation move ahead. In 2025, we introduced Benelux Animation Pitch for short and feature productions, aimed at strengthening and consolidating talent from the region. Stay tuned – the call for projects will be announced this Summer.
