When does the festival take place?

Kaboom Animation Festival 2021 takes place from March 31 to Monday April 5.

Will Kaboom Animation Festival 2021 be an online only festival, or will there be an offline festival as well? 

Due to COVID-19 this year Kaboom Animation Festival will be online. Check out our program. There will be some live tv shows, instead of the physical event. In some of the shows you can participate through chat or Zoom. We hope we can invite everybody again in 2022. 

Is the content of Kaboom Animation festival 2021 available outside of The Netherlands? 

Unfortunately, the content is only available for IP-addresses registered in the Netherlands. 

 

TICKETS

Where can I buy tickets? 

a. Go to our ticket page.  

b. Choose between a Single ticket (valid for a film you can select yourself) or an All You Can Eat ticket and enjoy all our program has to offer. 

c. Click ‘buy now’.  

d. Create an account or log in to your existing account 

e. Enter your country, city & postal code. After that click on ‘continue’. 

f. Click on ‘proceed to checkout’ on the right side of the screen. Check your contact information & choose a payment method. You can choose from: American Express, iDEAL, MisterCash / Bancontact, PayPal, Visa / Mastercard. 

g. Click on the box next to ‘agreement’ to accept our terms & conditions. 

h. Complete the payment through the chosen method. 

I didn’t receive a confirmation e-mail, what should I do?

– Did you check your spambox?
– It could help to add Kaboom Animation Festival <tickets@kaboomfestival.nl> to your contacts, then try again.
– If no mail has been received after an account has been created, a new mail can be sent via the recovery link.
– Or you can mail to tickets@kaboom.nl or use our socials to reach out to us. 

I’m getting an error during checkout, what can I do? 

If no payment has been made yet, please try again. If it doesn’t work again, please contact us via mailcontactform or use the chat at our website. 

 

ACCOUNT

 

I’ve made a mistake entering my data during registration. Can I change this? 

Personal data can be updated or changed after logging into the account. 

Every change you want to make can be done by following the next steps: 

– Click on the pencil next to the desired subject. 

– Fill in or adjust the information you want. 

– Click ‘save’.

I have lost my login details, what should I do?

USING THE ACCOUNT / WATCH A FILM

 

How to watch your amazing content?

– Once you’re logged in to your account, you’ll see an overview of our festival. The films are divided into categories. Details (such as synopsis, duration & languages) can be found by selecting a film.
– You can select individual films separately. 

OR 

– By selecting ‘play all’ you can choose to watch the complete series, which will be played in sequence. If there’s a film you’ve already seen, it’s possible to skip to the next one. 

How often can I (re)watch the film(s)? 

During the festival (March 31st 15:00 to April 5th 0:00) all films you’ve bought a ticket for, can be viewed without restriction  

Will there be (any) subtitles? 

The majority of our content will be (in) English, without subtitles. Films in a language other than English will be subtitled in English. Whether children’s films are subtitled is indicated in the details.

Can an online screening be sold out? 

No, all content during the festival is available on demand. 

I am unable to attend (any more). Can I get a refund?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Hopefully you can make someone else happy with your ticket as a gift. 

On which devices can I watch? 

Any device with a screen and an internet connection is suitable. The mayor browsers Chrome, Safari, Firefox & MS Edge are suited best to use. 

How can I vote during the festival? 

Films which are in competition will have an indication to let you know you can vote. Click ‘vote now!’ and select your favorite film. Please note that once you’ve submitted your vote you can’t change it, so choose wisely. 

 

PROBLEMS WITH (VIEWING) A VIDEO. 

 

I can’t see the content, what’s wrong? 

The best way to view is by using a browser that’s up-to-date & a stable internet connection. If your internet connection is bad/weak or unstable, you may have problems watching films. Try lowering the resolution.

I’ve made an animated film; can I submit it to the festival? 

Call for entries for the 2022 edition starts at the end of May.

How do I stay informed of (festival) news? 

By subscribing to our newsletter, every hot piece of news will appear in your inbox. Following our social media channels is not a bad idea either. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram.

Mail, contact or by using the chat at our website. Available during festival days from 9:00 to 21:00. 

Kaboom offline

Kaboom Animation Festival 2021 will be completely online. Of course we hope to host an offline festival in 2022 again!
