The Debutante Ball is a showcase of the latest generation of Dutch animation graduates and an exciting get-together of emerging talents. As a festival, we think it’s essential to support their creativity and help them access the market and networking with professionals.  

The event will take place on the 29th of March at HKU Art University in Utrecht, where a selected group of graduates can present their showreel to our Industry audience.  Next to that, all showreels will be featured in our online catalogue for the animation industry during our festival in 2023.  

We will select 10 students from submitted showreels, and we’ll connect them to 10 producers and key industry professionals for a speed date session at our Young Professional Day on the 29th of March. Also, The Debutant Award for the best showreel will be granted by an international jury and announced during the Debutante Ball.
